Karina hated to think that way, but as the minutes ticked by, she found herself regretting telling Cry that she loved him. The camping trip had ended so nicely, they had promised each other that they would go out again. The couple decided on a coffee shop two weeks after their first venture together. Now, Karina was sitting alone, and Cry had yet to show up.

Cry was so surprised by the sudden kiss, he froze, unable to react. Karina pulled away, embarrassed. “I-I’m sorry,” she mumbled. “That was wrong. I shouldn’t have done that.”

Just as Karina got up to go to bed, Cry found his voice. “Don’t be sorry,” he said softly, standing as well to look into Karina’s eyes again. He then leaned forward and gently touched his lips to hers.

Karina helped Cry back up to the campsite, leading him into their tent. He sat down on his sleeping bag, and Karina said, “Cry, you should lay down. You need to rest.”

“I’m fine,” Cry replied, waving a hand at her. His voice was still hoarse, so naturally, Karina didn’t fully believe him. “I just want to catch my breath.” The blonde girl sat next to him, rubbing Cry’s back until his ragged breathing slowed down.
